Reunion recap...

Reunion was a blast. So glad I went. Outfit went over well. We did the pearl street thing then off to Bullfeathers until 3 am.

AH – totally bombed. This wasn’t a frat party. No need for that. No idea how much she put away in 3 hours. Fell and broke her glass then was puking in the bathroom.
ES – the 10 year rumor totally cleared up. Rumor: she had four kids right out of high school and was divorced soon after. Truth: just got married, and has two Dobermans.
BB – still touchy feely.
AE – still so picky about men, but is very smart and that’s probably why. She’s afraid of getting screwed.
MB – thanks for licking my face during a photo op. you’re still so funny…
BH – you’re even hotter now than you were.
SJ – so glad I got over my reservations about you. You really are a nice person.
JK – so glad we could laugh like that about stupid 3rd grade memories.
CM – were you high?
TM – can’t believe you remembered the things you did.
AL – you can really stop talking like that we are almost 30.
WA and AB – thanks for making it happen!

That’s all I can think of. It was great.

Thanksgiving recap...

No porn. I must rephrase my previous statement. It's not dirty stuff, just a lot of naked artwork that I can't wait for my son to ask me "mommy, what is that?"

No sister in law....she was at her parents house for the day. Good thing because I am always cornered by her and have to listen to her stories.

No auntie flirting either. So glad to because it really makes me sick.

All in all, good turkey day!!

Happy Thanksgiving...

Happy Thanksgiving. Don't eat too much! Going to the in-laws then to the step-family's. All I have to bring this year is beer and cheese and crackers....see what happens when you have a kid.

Should be interesting. Mother in law and her live in boyfriend surrounded by porn mags for all the kiddies to enjoy. Sister in law talking all about herself the whole time, and usually lying and then telling a different lie about the same thing just moments later. Then lots of comparing of the kids. Well this one here does, blah, blah, blah, how about him....um there is an age difference here. She is 18 months and my son is 8 months.

Then step-uncle's wife hitting on my hubby the whole time. That should be fun to watch. Can't return it either because her hubby is my uncle and that would be gross. Besides I wouldn't do it anyways I'm not like that.

So this is my family fun weekend. Should be a sight. Need to post more on my disfunctionalness. (is that a word?)

Plus the reunion Friday. Yes my 10 year reunion is coming up and it is during the Thanksgiving break due to the fact that they forgot over the summer and had to squeeze it in before next year. So this should be a night of images. And I have nothing really to brag about careerwise, but I'm sure my son and hubby will be the highlights of my convo. Besides the where were you for 10 years stuff...I really should take my friend's approach by saying I am something that I'm not. Um, I created post it notes.....

I went and bought a new shirt for this on my lunch today. I should have a lot to report after this weekend.

Am I still naive?

To things that happen in the real world? Or am I just surrounded by all the people in the world who can't say it like it is?

How is my hair today: reponse you get "really nice, I just love how you've done it" real response when you walk away...."I can't believe she did her hair like that, what was she thinking..."

Reponse: "I'm so glad you called. It's been a long time and I love hearing from you." real response: "I can't believe she called me, man she talks your ear off..."

Why can't people just say how it is anymore. I'm not saying I have never said anything to spare someones feelings, but people tiptoe around everything and there aren't too many true responses out there.

TGIF

Because I get to go out tonight with the girls!!!!

It's snowing now.....

Don't know why the Northtowns couldn't keep up with the Southtowns, but now it is snowing here.

Why didn't you wake me?

I woke up this morning to my alarm clock playing Christmas music.

I was afraid for a second that I had slept in until December 25th.

Not flu, but

croup. My baby has croup. ICK.....and he had alot of trouble breathing yesterday, so I'm glad I decided to take him to the doctors. This is accompanied by a fever. They gave him a steriod shot yesterday, and has to be on oral steriods for the next three days.

If you need any furniture moved after this, I'll be sure to send him over.

Flu anyone?

Flu going around my house,

First me, then hubby, now baby? Maybe? No?

Babe's ok. School called and said that his temp was 100.6 under his arm, and when I got home and took it in his little bootie, it was 99.6. Jay is feeling better so I came back to work to finish out the afternoon (after all I want to be done with this internship asap). He is still not out of the woods yet though seeing as the flu is going around my house, so we still have to keep an eye on him.

Hopefully it'll pass right by him.

Dear Teeth,

We’ve been through a lot together.

When baby’s feel out and we would hid you under pillows so the tooth fairy could trade you in for money.

When we went through the nail biting stage when we were 13. We quit that together.

Then you got braces and had to be looked at every month, and the pain you went through for me. All that tightening and the rubber bands to hold you in place. You look beautiful now, don’t deny it!

We cried together when wisdoms left us.

Don’t forget all the cleanings we went through, and your favorite: the fluoride treatment.

Don’t forget all the food you had. You never failed me during those times. Especially the fun candy! But not too much because we didn’t want to damage you (plus hips would pay for it too).

Now you are sick. The first time ever. Four cavities. I’m sorry for neglecting you. It wasn’t personal. I guess I have been too busy to realize that you were hurting. But you never showed any signs of pain. You didn’t want to bother me.

We must go again and get you fixed. I promise they will give you some medicine so you won’t feel a thing.

Please forgive me teeth, for I am truly sorry.

Love, me

Nothing to talk about..

There is nothing interesting in my life right now to write about. I do the same thing every day and go to the same places every day. School, work, work, school….send my baby to school every day and I barely see him during the week. Hopefully things in my life get a little more exciting.

Things I wondered about this weekend.

Why on earth would Vietnamese people decide that, in order to be free, they would come to America, open nail shops and clean the shit out of people’s toes?

And…

I caught a couple of seconds of that movie on CBS after cold case that was about the supposed end of the world. Apparently a hurricane hits New York and DC and that alone is the “world”. This happened in New Orleans just a little while back and the organization for that rescue mission was not as organized as this made for TV movie.

My question is, is that when God decides to throw his wrath upon us, do you really think his biggest worry is to spare Shannen Doherty her life?

Good deed for the day

This should bring my karma up again.

I went to the ATM and the guy in front of me left his bank card in the machine.

"Would you like another transaction?"

Yes
No (enter)

Grab card, run through bank, "Sir, Sir" Yell louder, "SIR,SIR". Ma'am can you stop him please?

Here sir, you left your card in the machine.

Oh thank you, thank you....

Make up your mind already...

I've finally decided to take classes at Medaille for my Bachelors degree. They have half semester courses like Villa, so this means I can stick to the schedule that I'm used to and get done faster. I decided to take a small break and start in the Fall of 2006.

I'm mailing the application today! Keep your fingers crossed!

Do I get to make a wish?

My little Hyundai hit 55555.0 yesterday when I pulled into my driveway.

My Promises

I have learned so far in my life that everyone needs to, so to speak, “clean the shitter” just once so they can appreciate the guy who does it. I feel that everyone needs experience to make it in this world, and having an education does enhance that experience. You should be able to make copies, fax, and mail letters, just because you know how. No matter at what level you are at, those minute things should not be beneath you.

So the following things are things that I will do when I advance my career and am at a manager’s level:

1. I vow to not ask someone to make one copy for me especially when we are both standing right next to the copier.
2. I vow to not ask someone to make a fax for me or forward an email to email to others.
3. I vow to not ask someone to put an envelope through the postage machine, especially when I am heading out the door and passing right by it anyways.
4. I vow to not speak at all on my speaker phone to anyone, especially to my husband or child.

This is my pact that I have made to myself and my future employees where ever it is life leads me to.
